Lev Olam (Heart of the world) is an Israel based International Aid Organization currently operating in India. We supply the basic needs of food, healthcare, clothing and shelter to people in need, especially to children. Lev Olam is a non-profit, non-political, non religious organization, founded by a group of young Israeli leaders, who decided to realize the old Jewish tradition of Tikkun Olam – Making the world a better Place. Lev olam recruits volunteer backpackers to take part in a variety of support programs in local Indian communities. The vast majority of volunteers are from the 60,000 Israeli backpackers who visit India every year. Volunteering, however, is open to all people from all nationalities. Lev olam serves all poor communities or individuals in India or elsewhere regardless of race, gender or religion. However, the welfare and wellbeing of children is our top priority.
