Lev Olam's environmental project aims to advance environmental awareness among local residents and to encourage them to take responsibility for their environment. The project aspires to develop the ability of local leadership to address environmental issues, to educate and teach, to raise awareness and provide training, tools and support.

The project's goals are:

  1. Active participation of Lev Olam volunteers in a variety of environmental initiatives: cleaning the environment, building local waste disposal centers, reduction of air and water pollution, recycling and more.
  2. Recruiting and training  local leaders, educators and municipal officials to engage in environmental problems and their repercussions.
  3. Teaching and educating children to become aware and responsible for their environment and to be a part of protecting it.
